The box is labeled “20 lb Adjustable Ankle/Wrist Weights”. But you’ll get a pair of 10 lb adjustable weights if you order this product. Otherwise they are as advertised.

I wasn’t impressed with these, they were bulky and awkward even after removing some of the weights. I don’t recommend them.

These ankle weights are great for leg lifts and some pull-ups and other abdomen workouts. Would not however recommend to wear these and run on a treadmill or any hard surface, esp. if you have flat feet. If you do run you can adjust the weights and run on a grass field with less than 5 pounds.

I use these as a photo-pole counterweight, so they do not receive a hard workout, but they are made tough. Nice straps and rings, well made.

I got these with the intention of walking around with them to increase my general leg strength and to maybe help extend my legs for a little more height. When your ankle weights are 10 lbs per ankle, what more can you expect? I think people who bought these with the intention to wear them while doing cardio is just being unrealistic. These have worked wonderfully for what I got them for, but there are definitely a few cons.
1) Others have said this, they are just too big for the average person. Maybe if you were as tall as Shaq and had ankles as thick as his then these MIGHT provide a loose, comfortable fit. Maybe.
However, you can definitely work around this by skipping the first set of rings when you’re tying them up. It’s not as stable when you velcro through only one set of rings, but you mostly offset that with the snugger fit around your ankles.
2) I’m not sure about wearing these long term (ie. walking around with them for a day at a time), as after wearing these for a mere hour, I’ve develop very light bruises around the more bony areas on my ankle. Not what I had in mind.
3) This one is more of a warning than a con – you shouldn’t wear these with shoes that you like. They weigh down as far as they can because of gravity (duh) and depending on the way your shoe is made, it may really deform the tongue of the shoe and scrape some of the synthetic leather off after a while. Or maybe I just have crappy shoes.
Anyways, I still like these, and will be giving them plenty of use. Not bad at all for the money.
